New Sleeping Pattern Test

Right now it is 5.36am in good old England……and i am wide awake :) Why?

I thought i would try something new, i always like to make sure i am doing something new to my body and brain, exposing it to a new challenges as often as possible. I have done loads of different things such as changing my diet, dress sense, seduction skills, mental way of thinking, intentional exposure to cold conditions and many more.

My newest is changing my sleeping pattern, you see because i work for clubs most of my productive hours are spent in the night times. So i am on average awake till 4/5 in the morning and getting up at 10ish. Even if i had nothing to be up for i would be up then just to so i can do something and be productive. After 22 years of living i still dont like the fact that we need sleep. Its so unproductive. People’s lives are usually seen a week ahead, what i mean is that we organise our week from Monday to Sunday. When in reality….life is 1 big long day.

Anyway, so i usually get 4-5 hours sleep a night, not good, i have now over the last few days started to feel a bit ill(lack of sleep lowers your immune system). The sleeping pattern being one of them, the others are that I live in the North of England(coooolllddd!!) and i have started going back to the gym over the last few weeks which further also lowers your immune system so you have to make sure you eat and sleep right to counteract it.

So all of this made me think….how can i get around it…..TADAAAAAA LETS CHANGE MY SLEEPING PATTERN. The average person needs 8 hours sleep a night, meaning that the average person is awake 16 hours a day. So what i did today was wake up at 3pm and i will go to bed at 7am. By doing this for a few days my body will get used to this and treat it as my new sleeping and awake pattern. This will benefit me so much because now i will be able to get a good amount of sleep and be awake for all my activities. I’ll also be able to do alot more writing, i dont usually write in the days because all my housemates are awake and running around so i dont get much peace. Thing is….this is something that i cant do for long, i know this. The world wakes up in the morning and goes to sleep in the evening, so by me doing this new pattern for too long will not work out for long. I know i saw that we all live in our own individual worlds, but that is mentally, not physically.

The weird thing is….in my Personal Development and Dating life, i communicate with alot of people who live out in America. Which means my new sleeping pattern will benefit them because right now its around lunchtime as appose to when i usually talk to them when its late at night and they are probably out or in bed.

Anyway, put your body and mind through something new today. See what happens. Its a skill to be able to have the ability to freely try something new whenever you like.

Hi.
Not everyone need an 8 hour sleep. Just a good little nap will do every day for me. I don’t like it when my sleep is interupted by something. It will make even more sleepy later on.
thank you for sharing your thought.
See you around.

Hi there,

I wrote that the average person needs 8 hours sleep a night, not everyone ;)

Heres a resource where i got this information from.

A wise man once told me that with practice we can survive on 20 minute naps every 4 hours… perhaps another experiment for the future..? : )

also, you say that you struggle when you have too little sleep, but I think also too much sleep is detrimental… you body craves exertion and by sleeping for 12 hours a day you’re not fulfilling its needs… in my humble opinion… I have never known anyone successful for sleep too much !

Hi melan ;)

This man sounds very….very wise!

Thanks for your comments about having too much sleep, as you can tell from reading the above my aim is to have the average amount. Too much is not needed and a priceless waste of possible productive time.
